Earth Day Fun Run for the Sunnyvale Neighborhood Center

Although it was wet and cold, and the entire region was shut down for the Salt Lake Marathon, we had an impressive turnout of about 50 people for the Earth Day Fun Run, the proceeds for which benefited the Sunnyvale Neighborhood Center.

Three Rotarians turned out -- Chris, Andrea, and Frank. Two of us ran, and one of us ambled the course with his sister and friends. Run or walk, it was a great day, with a great turnout for a great cause!

Spring has hit Millcreek-- 5 fun springy events you don't want to miss!

Read on to learn about our mystery Social coming up, how you can get help with that daunting spring cleaning (while also supporting Rotaractors), and enjoy an evening of Pinot Grigio!

Below are 5 fun events you need to mark your calendars for:

  1. Short notice: Saturday, April 6th, 11:30-1:30 (lunch served!), our 2 Rotaract Clubs will be having Speed Mentoring so youth can learn more about your professions.  Everyone is welcome!  If you can make it, contact Whitney (435.660.0882).
  2. Saturday, April 20th at 8:30am at the SLCC Redwood Campus, bring your friends and family to SLCC's 5K Run/WalkProceeds support the Sunnyvale Neighborhood Center!  For details and to register, click here
  3. Friday, April 26th at 6pm:  SOCIAL SURPRISE!  Our lovely Social Chairs, Jennie and Andrea, will be surprising us with something fun and mysterious.  Stay tuned!
  4. We'll be hosting a Massive Rotary Garage Sale to help the Westminster Rotaract Club raise $ for their upcoming Nepal Trip.  The evening before the sale, we'll have a Pizza, Pricing and Pino Grigio Party, Friday May 17th at 6pm at Laurie's home (1369 Westminster Ave.).  Another way to support them (like they've supported us), is to schedule a time when they (*multiple Rotaractors*) can help you with yard/house work.  They're hard working, and will do a rockin' job for you.  Call Courtney at 801.502.3018.
  5. Finally, if you haven't already done so, there is still time to register for the District Conference in Ogden May 2-4thClick here for details and to register!
