Four Way Test

• Wine into Water – Judy – Confirmed that all committee chairs from last year’s event will be chairs again this year. Fundraiser Chair – Judy, Task Chair – Rose, Beverage Chair – Laurie, RSVP Co-chairs – Dave and Denise Chasse, Promotion Chair – Chris, Check-in Chair – Frank, Food Co-chair – Julie and Jayne, Volunteer Chair – Justin, Program Chair – Shannon, Opportunity Drawing Chair – Ronda, Clean-up Chair – Dave V, Reconciliation Chair – Danny (Frank)

There was a lot of discussion about this event. Food, ticket pricing, check-in etc. Some of the members in last weeks meeting had brought up the idea of having all the food catered. Judy went into great detail of how expensive this would be with serving appetizers. It was concluded that we would double the amount from 100 to 200 people for the Utah Food Service catering and still have 15 members contribute nice, ready to serve appetizers too. Also, talked about having Spice Kitchen as an option for catering.

After discussion and a vote, it was concluded that the ticket price will go up $10.00 to $60.00. The majority of members felt this was not too much of a price increase but it would help offset some of the additional food cost. Also, discussed the option of selling a few tables of 8 for members who are interested at a small discounted rate. We will continue to brainstorm and figure out a way to make check-in run smoother if possible. Also, be prepared with tents if it rains. Maybe break down the check-in process alphabetically.

Judy emphasized to the group that What we have is working!!!

• Strategic Plan - Frank – Discussion was brief due to time. Membership increase to 30 for the 2018/19 year. Also, think about retention.

Rose’s daughter, Lori gave a brief introduction about the House of Hope and what they do and who they serve. Members put together Mother’s Day gift bags for the mothers who are in the program.

Fun Mother's Day project at the House of Hope!

Fun Mother's Day project at the House of Hope! Our club donated bath wash, lotion, lip gloss, nail polish, chocolates & other items to make gift bags for residents who are recovering from addiction. House of Hope lets moms stay with their kids during recovery. Thanks to all the Millcreek Rotary members who made this service a success! Thanks Rose Defa for organizing!
