Call to order,
Four-Way Test
2. Guest Speaker – Dalton Wilson spoke to us
about the Opportunity Fund for Developing Countries (OFDC). OFDC is an organization that empowers women,
educates children and enhances health for all.
OFDC is currently focused on helping people in Kenya. Dalton described some of the projects that
OFDC has conducted and is planning to conduct, including building of latrines,
fabrication of desks, and training of women on starting small businesses. When asked what we can do to help, he
suggested that we could provide OFDC a monetary donation.
3.
Service Update – Tim spoke briefly about meal
preparation and serving at the Volunteers of America Youth Resource Center. He needs no more than 10 volunteers, as space
is limited. He suggested members could
make a side dish or dessert ahead of the 2/28 event. Tim will solicit help via email.
Dave C. introduced an idea for a March service project
involving one-on-one listening to (and writing down) seniors’ life stories at
an assisted living facility. Dave will
send out more thoughts on the project shortly.
He is targeting March 14 or March 28.
Rose reported that the planned service project for April is
House of Hope (Mother’s Day gift prep), May is the Burrito Project (feed the
homeless) and June will be at Hope Lodge (prepare dinner).

Social Update – Erica reminded us of the combined
business meeting and social at her house on 2/21 at 5:30 p.m. The social part is Bonco. She also said Shannon will be hosting a
snowshoeing outing on March 2.

Membership Update – Ronda suggested inviting potential
members to our meetings.
6.
Treasurer Update – Tim provided a summary of finances.
