Notes:
- The 4 way test was recited.
- A vote was taken and Ladd Tanner was voted in as President-elect unanimously.
- Laurie Summers-Pisani: Wine into water preparations are apace. Still need people to commit to food and buy tickets. Need tables and other things by Thursday.
- Guest Bruce Powell from the District Foundation Committee described what our donation had been used for. The water project has been started which will provide water to a village with 1600 people. This will be the first time they have water in their community. He will send a list of other potential projects for us to consider.
- Max Calleja has arrived, is currently staying with Brian Rollo and attending high school. He is from Chile.
- Marty Gelman reported on his initial visit with the refugee family we are mentoring. The family consists of a single mother with seven children, ages 5 to 18. They are from Burma.
- Social committee: Looking into a possible trip to Cuba in February. Stephanie Chard volunteered to hold Christmas Party at her house.
Coming Events:
- Wine into Water, September 12th.
- Retreat will be October 17th during the day, that evening will be Oktoberfest at the Sherlock’s house.
