Support the Sunnyvale Halloween Carnival Thursday October 30 5:30pm

Hope to see you at the carnival Thursday October 30th at 5:30 PM. Please RSVP Margareta.Hjorth-Vlasic@mhtn.com  So far, we have about 8 members from Millcreek Rotary Club, but we always welcome more.

The address is:   Valley Center Park, 4013 south 700 west (right by the Sunnyvale apartment complex).

A few members of the Salt Lake Rotaract Club will be there before 5:30 to set up the carnival games, tables and chairs. We do not have to be there earlier than 5:30 PM.

We have been asked to bring candy and/or small toys to hand out from our decorated car trunks, and if we would like also some extra for the carnival games. Please also dress up for Halloween to make it more fun for the kids.

Last time we participated we had all the kids playing the carnival games first. We then rounded everyone up and the kids did the trunk or treat all at once, and then returned to the games. This worked well and I think we will do the same this year.

Looking forward to seeing you Thursday!

2014 Wine into Water is a record breaking success!

On behalf of the Rotary Club of Millcreek, I want to thank you for joining us last night at our third annual Wine into Water.

It was a great and memorable evening - even before it started to rain -- and its success and the continued viability of the club would not be possible without your love and support.

Thanks to your generous contributions, we broke a record last night: 122 people attended and you raised $8,250! This will help finance a water filtration system for 2,000 people living in the Peruvian Amazon. This money will also help the Rotary Club of Millcreek further its vision to improve lives and empower communities, both locally and internationally.

We would also love to have you join our club! You are welcome to attend a business meeting, which are held on the first and second Thursdays of the month, at 5:30 pm, at Cafe Madrid, 5244 South Highland Drive, in Holladay, Utah.

If you have any questions about Rotary membership, future volunteer opportunities, or Wine into Water, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Sincerely yours,
Francis Xavier Lilly | 2014 President, Rotary Club of Millcreek
