Meeting Minutes from April 3, 2014 Business Meeting

Attendees: Andrea White, Linda Book, Judy Zone, Gregory Roberts (guest), Miriam Barth, Marlin Clark, Bill Kille, Jennie Ferguson, Ladd Tanner, Frank Lilly, Danny Schoenfeld, Ron Stevens, Shannon Tilly, Sonia Woodbury, Chas Boynton, Dayna Revetti, John Zone (16 members)

Marlin introduced his guest, Gregory Roberts.  Welcome Gregory!

Nominations for 2014-2015 board members were presented and approved by the membership: Frank Lilly, President Elect; Danny Schoenfeld, President Nominee; Dayna Revetti, Secretary; Ladd Tanner, Treasurer.

Everyone is welcome to attend the Northern Assembly, Saturday, April 12, at Hillside Elementary.

Ladd is collecting quarterly dues ($90), and he will send out an email soon to remind us.

Frank proposed a service project with Sunnyvale kids (possibly field trip to the Leonardo).  Details to come.

Judy reminded everyone of the Youthlinc Annual Benefit, May 17.  Consider attending to support the Youthlinc Service Year. All money donated by attending members (including entrance) goes directly to support a student's participation. Last year we supported Chris Casper's son Sam to Guatemala, and this year, Liz Sherlock's daughter Hilary to Kenya.  Contact Judy for more information judy@youthlinc.org.

Member Spotlight: Sonia Woodbury presented us with her past and present, including her family and occupation.  She even offered to teach our members tap dancing (future social?!)! Thanks Sonia!

Shannon asked for volunteers to sign-up for Century of Service “Book Club.” A member will present a chapter from the book every other month.  Thanks for organizing and providing us with books, Shannon!

Bill proposed a June or July service project: Participate in creating the Millcreek float for the July 24th parade.  Members are excited and willing to participate.

Sonia updated us on our participation with RYLA, which some of our Interactors will attend this fall.  Our club will help fund some students for the events.
