Here is a message from Lois Werner, Executive Director of People for Guatemala, the cooperating organization on the Global Grant:
Yesterday
Amilcar, Flor, Erick, Otto (Mayor of San Martin) and I met with the entire
community. See attached photo. At the meeting one of the members of
the water committee did role call of all 250 families to take attendance.
Everyone received the good news that their project was approved.
Their expressions changed from worried to elated! Next Tuesday there will
be an all-community meeting to organize the work groups and start the
project. The goal is to have running water at every home by Christmas.
