Business Meeting Minutes March 7, 2019


Members in attendance:  Jayne Barnett, Dave Chassé, Denise Chassé, Rose Defa, Ronda Eiting, Frank Lilly, Susan Marks, Justin Powell, Erica Wolff, Pearl Wright
Guests in attendance:  Ari Waite
Business items:
1.      Call to order, Four-Way Test
2.      Guest Speaker –Ann Kane, Principal of Millcreek Elementary.  Ann told us about her school and her students and staff, and offered ideas on how we could, as a club, get involved in helping on an ongoing basis.  Ann suggested working with the 3rd grade on reading and math, helping with food insecurity over long school breaks, setting-up a food pantry, and possibly supporting Art night on April 18th.
3.      Service Update – Dave C. reminded everyone about the March 14th project with seniors at The Ridge Cottonwood, where we’ll listen to (and write down or record) residents’ life stories.
Rose reported that the planned service project for April is House of Hope (Mother’s Day gift prep), May is the Burrito Project (feed the homeless) and June will be at Hope Lodge (prepare dinner).
4.      Social Update – The April social will follow the gift prep at House of Hope on April 25th.
5.      Membership Update – No update.
6.      Treasurer Update – No update.
7.      Wine Into Water 2019 – Jayne booked Tracy Aviary for the evening of Thursday September 19th (all the Fridays in Sept were already booked).

March 14th – Service – “What is your Story?”, The Ridge Cottonwood (5600 S. Highland Dr.), please arrive at 5:45 p.m.  Don’t forget to wear your RCMC T-Shirt!

April 4th – Business Meeting 5:30 p.m., Board Meeting 6:30 p.m. – Youthlinc Office 1166 E. Brickyard Road

April 25 – Service and Social – House of Hope, prep Mother’s Day bags, dinner out afterwards
